Leeds expected XI to face Barnsley

Attack

Pablo Hernandez (Attacking midfield) – You never know which Pablo will turn up, the visionary maestro who can run a match or the anonymous wanderer who completely goes missing. It was Mr Invisible in midweek, but Leeds are set to keep faith with Hernandez in the hope he can reproduce his sublime display against Boro, in which he scored the opener and set up his team’s second with a geometrically perfect cross.

Samuel Saiz (Attacking midfield) – Even when he is average, the Spanish maestro is still very good, by everyone else’s standards. His sumptuous long-range pass set up Alioski in midweek, Saiz’s fourth assist of the season to add to eight goals.

Ezgjan Alioski (Attacking midfield) – Demonstrated his calibre with a beauty of a goal against Wolves as he combined brilliantly with Saiz for his third strike in three matches. The onus will be on him to continue his improvement.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga (Centre-forward) – Has missed the last two Leeds matches with what the club insist is an illness. If that is genuinely the case, the German should return to spearhead the attack in place of Kemar Roofe, the fourth of the likely changes.
