David Prutton has predicted Leeds United to draw when they host Derby on Tuesday night in the league.

The Whites welcome the Rams to Elland Road for a Championship encounter as fifth plays seventh in the league.

Thomas Christiansen’s side will be looking to bounce back from a poor run of form after losing four of their last five league games.

They suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Sheffield United in their previous match and will be looking to consolidate their position in the play-offs.

Meanwhile, Derby are creeping up on the top-six places and are unbeaten in their last six matches.

Sky Sports pundit has tipped Leeds to draw 1-1 when they face Gary Rowett’s side in the mid-week clash.

“A few weeks ago this would have been a nailed on home win but I’m not so sure now,” Prutton wrote in his column for Sky Sports.

“Leeds have lost their last two games at home now and seem to have lost a bit of their early-season swagger.

“Derby are on the edge of the play-offs after a good run of form, which proves in this league that all it takes is a few wins or defeats to change things completely. But I think this will be a draw.”

OPINION

Leeds seriously need to win this game to get their season back on track as their results have been poor in recent weeks. The Yorkshire giants can be buoyed by the form of players such as Samuel Saiz and Ronaldo Vieira, but need some of their more experienced players to step up during a difficult spell. It is so tight in the race for the play-offs right now and Leeds need to put a couple of wins together before the international break to make sure they remain near the top end of the league table.
