Three things learned from Leeds defeat to Sheffield Wednesday

|

Cutting edge is absent

Leeds were well below par against Wednesday but they had their chances to gain a foothold in the match.

Samuel Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski passed up inviting chances to score as the Yorkshire giants mislaid their shooting boots in a visible reminder that confidence flows only fleetingly at the highest level.

Alioski sent a header wide from an unmarked position, while Saiz oddly chose to shoot at Wednesday keeper Joe Wildsmith at the near post when a far-post curler appeared the far more likely option to result in a goal.

Another away match and another off day for the attackers. They must be far more clinical on the road.
