Leeds United fans took to Twitter to lay into goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald after their 3-0 Championship defeat against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

The 27-year-old made his 11th appearance of the season for United as he continued in his role as the established number one.

However, it was a forgettable afternoon for the ex-Werder Bremen shot stopper, who was beaten three times for the second time in five days.

Striker Gary Hooper scored twice in the first half as he continued his fine start to the season to take his tally to seven goals in as many games.

Kieran Lee added a third with less than 10 minutes remaining to condemn Leeds to a defeat that means they drop to fifth in the second tier, four points adrift of leaders Cardiff City.

The Leeds faithful took to social media en masse to criticise summer signing Wiedwald, whose arrival in the summer ended the career at the club of 2016-17 mainstay Rob Green.
