Leeds United will rip Derby County to shreds if they make three changes to the side that were beaten 2-1 by Sheffield United at Elland Road on Friday night.

Thomas Christiansen’s side have lost five of their last six league matches, but they showed enough in the early weeks of the season to suggest promotion is a very achievable aim.

So, what must Leeds do to return to the red hot side who were scoring goals for fun, being Scrooge-like at the back and racking up points with such abandon some fans were contemplating promotion to be wrapped up early in the new year?

Make some changes, for starters. The microscope has been centred on the players and how their standards have slipped as the rug was pulled from under the team against Cardiff, Reading and the two Sheffield clubs.

Christiansen insisted on Monday that his team are well placed for a promotion challenge despite their wretched recent form and is confident they can consistently get back to winning way.

This Is Futbol has selected a starting XI, featuring three changes from last Friday, that can tear the seventh-placed visitors apart at Elland Road, with a recall for a 24-year-old with a brilliant eye for goal.
