Leeds United have big plans for goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell even though they have given him the green light to secure a loan move that will reportedly be wrapped up in the next 24 hours, according to reports.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claim that the 20-year-old is set to leave Elland Road on a season-long loan with Oldham leading the race to sign him.

BBC Radio Leeds correspondent Adam Pope reported on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning that Peacock-Farrell “is seen as part of the future at Leeds” as he reiterated that a loan move is “on the cards”.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report that the youngster is set to agree a new Leeds contract before heading out on loan for the upcoming season.

The Elland Road academy product, who joined after being released by Middlesbrough in 2013, is regarded as having a bright future by United even though he has not added to his solitary first-team appearance made in April 2016.

Peacock-Farrell is behind established number one Rob Green and new signing Felix Wiedwald in the goalkeeper pecking order at the club, while Marco Silvestri also remains on the books.

League One outfit Oldham are said to be just one of the teams vying for his signature.
