Rangers will make a £1.2million bid for Norwich ace Graham Dorrans within the next 48 hours, according to a Scottish Sun report.

The newspaper claims the Glasgow giants’ initial offer of £700,000 for the 30-year-old midfielder was turned down by the Canaries last week, but Rangers are set to up their bid.

It is said the Gers are confident a bigger transfer fee will be enough to prise Dorrans away from Carrow Road.

This comes after Sky Sports Scotland reported last week that Rangers had tabled an offer of just under £1million for the Scottish midfielder.

Meanwhile, the Scottish Sun later claimed the Glasgow giants were confident a deal for Dorrans would be struck.

The central midfielder was a mainstay in the Canaries’ midfield last term, making 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals, and providing one assist.

He arrived at Carrow Road in the summer of 2015 in a £3.5million switch from West Brom, and he has since played 67 league and cup games for the club.

Dorrans was a regular in the Baggies midfield during his seven year spell at the club, and he featured in 189 games for the side and showed his goalscoring prowess with 26 goals.

The 30-year-old has been capped 11 times by Scotland, but he has not featured since the 6-0 European Championship qualifying win over Gibraltar in November 2015.
