Three Celtic stars to leave after Benyu capture

Unfortunately, the continued presence of experienced figures like Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong means it is unlikely every single youngster at Parkhead will have a major role to play.

With Benyu increasing the competition for places in an already-packed midfield, fellow youngster Kristoffer Ajer could be one of the first men to be axed this summer.

Ajer moved to the Scottish treble-winners from Norwegian outfit Start a year ago, but has made just one senior appearance for the club, in a Champions League qualifier against Lincoln Red Imps.

The Norway Under-21 international spent the second-half of the season on loan at Scottish rivals Kilmarnock, and he could be granted a similar loan move ahead of the new season.
