Leeds fans on Twitter have aired their joy after it was claimed by BBC journalist Adam Pope that defender flop Giuseppe Bellusci was looking to leave the club.
The 27-year-old spent the last campaign on loan at Serie A club Empoli, playing 33 times as they suffered relegation from the Italian top-flight club.
However, despite the demotion Pope reported on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon that Bellusci would not be returning to the United Kingdom despite having one-year left on his contract with Leeds and that a deal was now being sorted that would suit “both parties.”

Now, claims that a player wants to leave a club can go either way for supporters and with Leeds fans on social media it is clear that they have seen the report in a positive light.
Many feel as though Bellusci is not good enough for their side with one fan even going as far to claim the news was “like a new signing” in itself.

Bellusci joined Leeds in the summer of 2014 for a fee of £1.6million from Italian side Catania.
He played in 61 matches for the Yorkshire giants in total and it now looks almost certain that his days with the Championship club are over.
