Leeds United have reportedly lodged a bid for FC Twente midfielder Mateusz Klich – and supporters of the English club are keen to find out more about the pursuit.
Dutch publication Tubantia reported on Tuesday that the Championship giants have had their opening offer rejected for the Poland international, 27, but are set to return to the negotiating table with a fresh bid.
It is said that United have been monitoring Klich for some time as they plot how to prise him away from the Eredivisie club with two years remaining on his contract.
Leeds fans are encouraged by speculation linking their club with a player with a proven track record and who has made a big impact in the Dutch league after joining last summer from German second-tier club Kaiserlautern on a free transfer.
Some of the Elland Road faithful have requested more information about Klich, while others questioned if his likely cost would prove a major hurdle.

Klich, 27, is a central midfielder who was a mainstay of the Twente team that finished seventh in the Dutch top flight in 2016-17.
He made 29 league appearances, which yielded a highly impressive return of six goals and four assists.
The report does not divulge how much Leeds have bid but, given his pedigree and that he has a contract with Twente that runs until 2019, it is likely to take a significant seven-figure fee to wrap up the deal.
