Leeds United have already secured their first new arrival of the summer after completing the signing of Poland midfielder Mateusz Klich at the end of last week.

The central midfielder is set to be joined by a handful of other new signings in the coming weeks as the club overhaul a squad that promised so much before the final-month collapse under Garry Monk last season.

Recently appointed director of football Victor Orta has been charged with providing new manager Thomas Christiansen with a team capable of securing promotion to the Premier League.

The recruitment chief made it clear last week that he was operating within a budget but Leeds fans are encouraged by the start made with the early capture of central midfielder Klich for a fee of around £1.5million.

With erratic former owner Massimo Cellino now out of the picture and Andrea Radrizzani in sole control, Leeds have been strongly linked with a string of players with fine reputations across Europe and who would appear to have the pedigree to make a big impact in the Championship next season.

Indeed, it has been reported that progress is being made on four new signings to follow the arrival of Klich as Christiansen aims to gets as many players in as possible before the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

This Is Futbol analyses how Leeds are expected to line up in their Championship opener at Bolton on 6 August if all five of the most strongly linked players are landed by that game:
