Conte could replace Costa with these three strikers

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has a clear choice of three replacements for centre-forward Diego Costa if the club decides to offload the star.

A recent report in the Spanish media outlet AS revealed that the Blues were working quickly with the 28-year-old’s former club Atletico Madrid to secure a move for the striker.

Atletico have a current transfer ban which will stop the Spanish club signing any new players until January 2018, but the Chelsea goal-machine looks to be on hold for the club.

Blues boss Conte had a recent public disagreement with the Spaniard after he sent the former La Liga ace a message stating that he wasn’t in the manager’s plans for the 2017/18 campaign.

Conte will want to have a Costa’s replacement lined up for the start of the season as during the last campaign the boss struggled to fill the Spaniard’s role.

On occasion when the fiery striker was missing the Italian boss utilised winger Eden Hazard as a false nine which suggested that forward Michy Batshuayi wasn’t capable of filling the void
