Overcame a tricky start at Leeds to prove that he is one of the outstanding goalkeepers outside of the top flight and accumulated enough appearances to secure a contract extension. Now 37, Green is at the final stages of his career but his solidity, consistency and professionalism is a fine example to the young players. He is also said to be a vocal and authoritative presence in the dressing room.
