West Brom are aiming to reopen negotiations with Leeds for full-back Charlie Taylor, according to the Express and Star.

The regional newspaper claims that the Premier League club will try once more to sign the defender following huge changes in the Elland Road hierarchy last week.

Andrea Radrizzani completed his takeover of Leeds while they are also looking for a new manager following the surprise resignation of Garry Monk.

It is understood that these two big changes have led West Brom to believe that they can start afresh following a halt to discussions in May.

Tony Pulis has made no secret of his desire to snap up Taylor, whose Leeds contract expires within in a matter of weeks.

The Whites would be able to take the Baggies to a tribunal to settle a compensation fee but Pulis wants to come to an agreement with the Yorkshire club before his contract expires as he fears he would have to pay a lot more money.

“If it’s going to go to tribunal, we don’t know what the price is and I think that takes us out of the game,” said Pulis earlier in May, as quoted by the Express and Star.

It is said that Taylor would like a move to the Hawthorns in the summer and the Express and Star reports that personal terms have been agreed upon.

The deciding factor seems to be with the fee that West Brom would be willing to dish out.

Taylor has been a key part of the Leeds side that almost reached the Championship play-off spots this season.

He made 32 appearances for the Whites across all competitions and supplied four assists.
