Manchester City are willing to sell Kelechi Iheanacho this summer if their £25million asking price is met, according to reports.

The Sun have claimed that West Ham have tabled a initial bid of £20million for the forward as they aim to win the race to sign the Nigerian.

The Times have now reported that the Hammers would accept around £25million to sanction the sale of Iheanacho.

The price tag gives the London club a firm idea of how much they need to land the prolific 20-year-old, with another £5m apparently required to seal the deal.

A publication from the striker’s homeland, Own Goal Nigeria, meanwhile, claims Iheanacho has travelled to London to undergo a medical with West Ham, having already agreed a permanent transfer worth £24million.

Reports in the UK have suggested there is still some way to go before a deal can be agreed for one of West Ham’s top summer targets.

Iheanacho has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad after making a big impression under ex-manager Manuel Pellegrini.

The striker scored seven goals in 29 appearances in all competitions during the 2016-17 season, but was only named in the starting eleven on nine occasions.

Iheanacho has found regular first-team opportunities limited following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January, having also had to compete alongside Sergio Aguero.

But following the arrival of another attacking option in Bernardo Silva from AS Monaco, which was confirmed by the club on Friday, Iheanacho could opportunities even further limited next term.
