Angus Kinnear will imminently complete a move from West Ham to Leeds United and he is set to be followed by a second senior appointment, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The newspaper claim Hammers managing director Kinnear will take up a senior role at Elland Road “in the coming days”.

It is reported for the first time that Leeds are also in the process of recruiting a technical director to oversee football operations, a position that has been vacant at the club since the exit of former sporting director Nicola Salerno.

The impending double appointment is a further signal of intent from joint-owner Andrea Radrizzani, who is close to taking full control at United.

The sports media tycoon is set to buy the half-share of the club owned by Massimo Cellino, who will step aside after three-and-a-half years at the Championship club, to complete a full takeover.

The Yorkshire Evening Post do not specify the role to be taken by Kinnear, who has held senior positions at West Ham and Arsenal.

But the chief executive post is vacant after Ben Mansford confirmed last Friday that he has quit the Championship giants after just one year.

West Ham man Kinnear has the direct seal of approval from Radrizzani, who is making his influence felt as he sanctions a series of major changes behind the scenes.

Leeds announced recently that former Real Madrid senior man Ivan Bravo, who is a key associate and adviser of Radrizzani’s, has joined the club’s board of directors.

It appears Kinnear will be the sports media tycoon’s second major appointment although there has not yet been any official confirmation from either West Ham or Leeds.

There is also expected to be progress on the manager’s position at Leeds as soon as Radrizzani’s full takeover is complete.
