Vinnie Jones has revealed that he almost threw ex-Leeds owner Massimo Cellino over the balcony – and fans on Twitter have reacted in a hilarious manner to his comments.

The former FA Cup winner made the comments on his personal Twitter account on Sunday afternoon when talking about the controversial figure, who has since sold his stake in the club.

Jones was clearly unhappy that Cellino, who would have been Leeds owner at that time, failed to acknowledge him whilst sitting in the same box as him at Watford.

Here are Jones’ brutal comments about Cellino:

During his playing days, Jones represented Wales on the international stage, played for Chelsea, Wimbledon and had a stint at Leeds.

Jones was known for his hard-hitting playing style, while Cellino is known for his ruthless man management skills and sacking of managers.

Unsurprisingly, the Elland Road faithful found Jones’ comments hilarious, with some joking that he should have actually thrown him off.

Jones was, of course, making his comments, in jest, with Cellino selling his stake in the club to his fellow countryman Andrea Radrizzani last Tuesday.

Since Cellino left Elland Road, Garry Monk, who was appointed by the Italian, has resigned from his job despite guiding the club to within five points off the play-off places in his first and only season in charge.

Nonetheless, supporters seemed pleased that Cellino was no longer owner with one fan asking “Cellino who” and another calling Jones a “legend”.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
