According to reports from ESPN, Arsenal have joined the race to sign Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid target Riyad Mahrez. 

The Algerian international has claimed 14 goals and ten assists in 26 Premier League appearances this term, ranking fifth and second throughout the division respectively, to propel the Foxes to pole position in the league table.

He’s already a shoo-in for this season’s PFA Player of the Year award and will almost certainly claim it if Claudio Ranieri’s side unexpectedly lift the title, but that could be his final act for the King Power Stadium outfit.

The Italian gaffer has already hinted he’ll let the 25-year-old leave at the end of the season if he requests a transfer and Europe’s top clubs are queueing up to sign the former Le Harve winger.

Indeed, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all believed to be eyeing Mahrez, whilst the latest reports from ESPN claim Arsenal have joined the race to seal a transfer for the in-form attacker.

The Gunners are reportedly ‘maintaining a watching brief’ and will swoop for Mahrez if he looks to leave the Midlands club during the coming transfer window.
