Indeed, the Spain U17 is yet to sign a professional contract at the Nou Camp, which has convinced Arsenal and Chelsea they can lure him to the Premier League, whilst the Catalans are also keen to agree senior terms with one of La Masia’s most promising talents.

In fact, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has reportedly taken a personal interest in Ruiz’s situation amid fears the youngster will be unable to resist the lucrative earnings on offer in the Premier League next season, when the £8billion TV deal comes into effect.

Arsenal and Chelsea are said to have already held talks with the teenager’s family regarding a move to London.
