Out - Mario Balotelli

According to The Guardian, Arsenal are targeting Henrikh Mkhitaryan ahead of the summer transfer window; whilst The Daily Star claim Jiangsu Suning are prepared to pay Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli £11.8million per season.

The Armenian international is no stranger to the Premier League’s transfer rumour columns, regularly linked with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur during his affluent spell at Shakhtar Donetsk. The attacking midfielder sealed a €25million transfer to Borussia Dortmund in summer 2013 and is currently amid his strongest campaign to date for the Black Yellows, netting twenty times across all competitions.

The Westfalen outfit are working to extend the 27-year-old’s contract beyond the end of next season but should a deal fail to materialise, they’ll struggle to turn down sizable bids during the coming transfer window. That appears to have pricked the ears of Arsenal, who are set for a midfield overhaul this summer, but The Guardian claim that Mkhitaryan’s availability will likely see the Gunners’ transfer interest rivalled throughout Europe.

Meanwhile, The Daily Star claim Jiangsu Suning are working to bring Liverpool transfer flop Mario Balotelli to the Chinese Super League this summer. The Italy international finds himself out on loan at AC Milan after managing just one Premier League goal during his debut season at Anfield but the San Siro outfit are not expected to agree a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign.

A CSL transfer has been mooted for some time and Jiangsu Suning appear to be offering the 25-year-old an escape route, with The Daily Star – who cite Il Milanista – claiming there have already been talks between the club’s representatives and Balotelli. It’s further alleged that Jiangsu are prepared to pay the former Manchester City star a whopping £11.8million per season.
