According to reports from The Telegraph, Arsenal believe they have beaten Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the transfer battle to sign Chelsea academy star Domingos Quina.
The 16-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising youngsters in the Blues’ youth set-up since arriving from Benfica three years ago, but he’s refused to sign a scholarship deal with the west Londoners and some reports have even claimed he’s already quit the club.

Manchester United have been tracking the prodigious Portuguese since the January transfer window, as plans for a significant academy overhaul at Old Trafford initially emerged, whilst Arsenal were mooted as potential suitors in February and Spurs were linked with his services earlier this month.
But according to The Telegraph, the Gunners are confident they’ve beaten United, Spurs and a host of other Premier League clubs to Quina’s signature, offering the Portugal youth international a deal that will guarantee him a professional contract upon turning 17.
Reporting on the same story, The Daily Mail claim Quina will officially complete a transfer to the Emirates in the next 48 hours.
