According to reports from The Sun, Chelsea have been told a £35million bid will see them land Roma defender Kostas Manolas during the summer transfer window.
The Greek international is no stranger to the Premier League’s transfer rumour columns. Giallorossi fought off competition from Arsenal to secure his services in 2014 and reportedly rejected a £15million transfer bid from the north London outfit last summer.

Likewise, The Sun claim David Moyes was hot on Manolas’ heels whilst serving as Manchester United boss, attempting to agree a deal for the 2014 summer transfer window, but was ultimately sacked in April and eventually replaced by Louis van Gaal.
It was revealed last week that Chelsea had seen a transfer bid rejected for the 24-year-old, believed to be worth in the region of £26million and £31million, as they seek a no-nonsense successor to John Terry.
But according to The Sun, Roma have now informed the west London outfit that upping the ante to £35million during the summer transfer window will see them land the former Olympiacos star.
Manolas has been in good form this season, netting once in 28 Serie A appearances whilst averaging 1.7 tackles, 2 interceptions, 4.5 clearances and 2.6 successful aerial duels per match.
