According to The Sun, Pep Guardiola has instructed Manchester City to place captain Vincent Kompany on the transfer list; whilst The Daily Star claim Everton and Liverpool are weighing up bids for PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe.
The Belgium international has been an integral influence on the Citizens’ meteoric rise since the Sheikh takeover in 2008, arriving during the same summer as City’s owners and captaining the club to two Premier League titles and two Capital One Cups.
But according to The Sun, the 29-year-old is set to become one of the first casualties of the change in regime at the Etihad, with incoming manager Pep Guardiola instructing director Txiki Bergiristain to place the club’s skipper on the transfer list as he prepares a defensive shakeup for the coming transfer window.

Guardiola is keen to seal a deal for Aymeric Laporte, but would rather offload Kompany than run the risk of dressing room disharmony should he retain the centre-half as back up.
Citing reports from L’Equipe meanwhile, The Daily Star claim Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool could be scrapping it out for PSG starlet Presnel Kimpembe during the summer transfer window, with both clubs ‘weighing up’ bids for the prodigious defender.
The 20-year-old received his debut for the Ligue 1 champions in October 2014 but has struggled to make progress since, issued just three starts by Laurent Blanc so far this season. The 6-foot centre-half could be forced to leave Parc de Princes to find better first team opportunities and Everton and Liverpool have been tracking him recently.
The Star speculate the Toffees and the Reds are now considering bids for Kimpembe. But Monaco, who attempted to acquire his services during the January transfer window, are also in the mix alongside several clubs from Serie A.
