According to Mirror Football, Chelsea are considering offering John Obi Mikel a new contract; whilst Gazzetta Dello Sport claim Jose Mourinho will raid former club Inter Milan for two players if he becomes Manchester United manager.
The Nigerian international found himself of the peripheries of Chelsea’s first team squad during Jose Mourinho’s second spell at Stamford Bridge but has become a permanent fixture in the starting Xi since Guus Hiddink replaced the Special One in December.
Indeed, the defensive midfielder has started in all but three of the Dutchman’s 13 fixtures in charge this season, completing the full ninety minutes on eight occasions, and Mirror Football claim the west London outfit are now considering whether to offer him a new contract. The 29-year-old’s current terms expire at the end of next season.

Meanwhile, Gazzetta Dello Sport report that Jose Mourinho will raid former club Inter Milan for two players during the summer transfer window – provided he’s appointed Manchester United manager as widely expected.
The Portuguese’s interest in centre-back Miranda, who claimed a Europa League title, a Copa del Rey and a La Liga title with Atletico Madrid before moving to the San Siro last summer, was documented last week, but the Italian publication claim he’ll also target striker Mauro Icardi.
The 23-year-old finished up as Serie A’s top scorer last season and has netted eleven times across all competitions since being appointed Nerazzurri armband at the start of the campaign. Inter will be more determined to keep hold of the Argentine than Miranda, but GDS suggest a €40million bid could force them to sell.
