According to reports from Mirror Football this morning, Manchester United could revive their interest in Felipe Anderson during the January transfer window after agreeing personal terms with the Lazio winger in the summer.
The 22 year-old was in strong form last season, recording ten goals and seven assists in just 23 Serie A starts, and has started the current campaign equally brightly. He’s netted four times over the last eight days – including a Europa League strike against Rosenborg last Thursday.
The Red Devils saw a £29million bid rejected during the summer but reportedly agreed personal terms with the one-cap Brazil international in a deal that would have seen him earn in excess of £60k per week – a significant increase upon his current salary at the Stadio Olympico.
And citing Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Mirror Football claim that could see United reignite their interest in Anderson during the coming transfer window. It coincides with comments from manager Louis van Gaal, who has revealed he’ll be targeting ‘speedy, creative players in attack‘ in January.
United aren’t the only interested party, however. Premier League champions Chelsea were also linked during the summer, whilst La Liga giants Barcelona were mooted as potential suitors earlier this month.
If we go in for another winger ,how about our flying wings are not capable if doing the job
