According to reports from The Daily Star this afternoon, Barcelona have joined the race to sign Manchester United target Felipe Anderson.
The 22 year-old’s superlative form last term, recording ten goals and seven assists in just 23 Serie A starts, saw him ascend to the Brazil national team fold and attract interest from some of the Premier League’s top clubs – particularly Chelsea and Manchester United.
Both are keen admirers of the £30million-rated winger and the Red Devils reportedly launched a bid just shy of that valuation during the final week of the transfer window.
The South American has surprisingly found himself featuring from the subs bench for half of Lazio’s Serie A fixtures this term, an issue his agent was particularly vocal about in September.
That suggests a move could be just around the corner but according to The Daily Star, a new rival has emerged in the race for Anderson’s signature – European champions Barcelona.
Citing Spanish publication Fichajes, they claim Nou Camp boss Luis Enrique is keeping tabs on the 5 foot 10 attacker, viewing him as a potential replacement for Chelsea’s summer signing Pedro, with the view to launching a bid in January.
Bacelona is good to buy replacement for pique we did not interest in him again
Barce needs a center back not a winger if I am the head coach at barce I will sign a denfender like thiago silva or John stones and pique will be bench
i can’t disagree more what barcelone needs is a center back and two if possible. But we can also buy a midfielder. But what is urgent is the center of defence.
