According to reports from The Express yesterday afternoon, Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson has ruled out a move to the Premier League during the summer transfer window.

The 22 year-old attacking midfielder has just come to the end of a strong season at Stadio Olympico, bagging ten goals and seven assists in just 23 Serie A starts. In the process, he averaged 1.9 tackles, 1.1 created chances and 3.3 successful dribbles per match.

That’s seen Anderson ascend to the Brazil national team fold, picking up his his inaugural senior Selecao cap last Sunday against Mexico, and has also attracted interest from some of the Premier League’s top clubs.

According to The Express, Chelsea and Manchester United are both known admirers of the £30million-rated midfielder – in fact, Goal.com claim the Lazio star, Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi and Tottenham’s prodigious front-man Harry Kane are Louis van Gaal’s priority signings for the summer.

But Anderson, a product of the Santos youth system, has insisted he’ll be staying on at Lazio for at least another season.

“Next year? All I know is I’ll be playing for Lazio,” Anderson said.

“I only recently renewed my contract for another five years. I’m thinking about that shirt, and nothing else. I don’t know of any offers, my future is at Lazio,” he added.
