According to reports from talkSPORT this morning, PSG have sought to quash rumours claiming star midfielder Marco Verratti could be on his way to the Premier League this summer.

The Italy international has just come to the end of a sensational season at Parc de Princes, in which he averaged the second-most passes per match – an incredible 90.6 – of any player in Europe’s five leading top flights, after Bayern Munich playmaker Xabi Alonso.

That’s lead to rumours of a departure from the French capital this summer. Reports from The Express last week even claimed the long-term Arsenal and Manchester United target had agreed personal terms with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

But according to talkSPORT, who cite Spanish publication AS, PSG will not allow the 22 year-old to leave in the coming transfer window. In fact, they expect the former Pescara prodigy to see out the remainder of his contract, which expires in 2019.
