Mario Mandzukic (Croatia):

According to reports from The Daily Mail this morning, Atletico Madrid have offered struggling front-man Mario Mandzukic to Manchester United – despite rumoured interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Croatian international moved to Vincente Calderon only last summer after netting 48 times in 88 appearances during his two seasons at Bayern Munich – where he won back-to-back Bundesligas and the 2013 Champions League title.

He’s since netted 20 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for the La Liga outfit, including five goals in the Champions League. But all of those strikes came before the end of February, and Manzukic’s barren run has coincided with reports of a bust-up with the Atletico Madrid coaching staff.

As This Is Futbol revealed last month, Arsenal and Liverpool are both believed to be targeting the 29 year-old, who boasts 88 goals in 150 appearances for his last three clubs.

But according to The Mail, the Mattress Makers have now offered the 6 foot 2 striker to Manchester United, amid their search for a long-term replacement to Serie A-bound Robin van Persie.

How much Atletico would expect for a player that cost them £18million less than twelve months ago, however, remains to be seen.
