Central Midfield - Moussa Sissoko

According to reports from The Express this morning, Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko believes he’s being monitored by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

The France international has long-been mooted as a potential remedy to the lack of power and athleticism in Arsenal’s midfield, with reports from Mirror Football in December claiming Arsene Wenger was ‘weighing up’ a £16million bid ahead of the January transfer window.

The north London outfit could decide to revive their interest this summer should they miss out on like-minded midfield targets, such as Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin – who has recently popped up on Manchester United’s transfer radar too, as This Is Futbol revealed last month.

But the 25 year-old has now informed French radio station RMC that he believes Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been monitoring his situation for some time. It follows rumours claiming Blues midfielder Ramires could be offloaded to Juventus this summer, as claimed by The Metro in April.

“Is he following my progress? According to what I am hearing, yes,” Sissoko told RMC.

“He is one of the best managers in the world. He has won so many titles… Any player would love to be coached by this man.

“For the moment, I am coached by other people. If one day I have the chance to work under his guidance, I would be very happy,” he added.

Ha, if Sissoko thinks he is even an Arsenal target, let alone a Chelsea target the bloke has obviously been sharing the same drugs that Carver has been taking to think he is the best coach in the Premier League.

It is getting to the stage where a lot of Newcastle fans would prefer to see him gone then keep the gutless, lazy tart. Probably one of our worst performers this season, and yet because he can run fast and according to people who have never watched him is ‘in the Vieira/Toure mould’ they think he must be great.

Can’t pass, can’t tackle, can’t shoot, can’t mark, can’t head. Can run fast with the ball. Can disappear completely from games when faced with Lee Cattermole. Can manage to play as a central midfielder in a derby match without attempting a single tackle.

He is an odd one, isn’t he?

He’s wildly inconsistent, like outrageously so. One day he’ll absolutely boss it and play a top side off the park (I swear he’s done it against Chelsea before) and the next he’ll be totally useless and make zero contribution.

Don’t really want him anywhere near Chelsea.

I think he’s a bit of a fraud to be honest. Well, not so much a fraud, more that he’s always played much better when he’s at right mid or CAM than central midfield – and no top club are going to play him in either of those positions because he’s not good enough at creating chances.

I’d be hugely surprised if either Arsenal or Chelsea bought him this summer. Definitely better options out there.

Haha he should go and form a Fraud FC with Paulinho.

Wait a minute, isn’t that just QPR?

Haha. Would probably put Ulloah in there as well. He’s just a bloke.
