Central Midfield - Moussa Sissoko

According to reports from ESPN this morning, Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko has once again suggested he wants to leave the club for Champions League football this summer.

The France international was amongst the better of a bad bunch at St. James’ Park this season, grabbing four goals and two assists in 34 Premier League outings and producing particularly strong displays against the division’s top clubs – grabbing an assist in a 2-1 win over Chelsea and scoring as the Magpies eliminated Manchester City from the Capital One Cup.

The 25 year-old has made no secret of his desire to join a Champions League club.As well as being a known long-term target of Arsenal, Sissoko claimed last week that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been monitoring his progress from afar, as reported by This Is Futbol.

And the former Toulouse star has once again publicly discussed a move to the Premier League’s top four, telling French publication Le Parisien; “With a year to go ’til the EURO, you mustn’t change clubs and then find yourself on the bench. At the same time, I want to play for one of the biggest clubs.

“I would notably like to play in the Champions League, which I can’t do at Newcastle. One day or another, my time will come. In any case, I see myself staying in England.”
