Arda Turan

According to reports from the London Evening Standard, the agent of Arda Turan has confirmed the Atletico Madrid midfielder will decide his future employers within the next four days.

The Turkey skipper joined the Mattress Makers in summer 2011 after amassing 45 goals and 76 assists in 197 appearances for Galatasaray, and has since gone on to claim a Europa League title, a Copa del Rey and a La Liga title with the Vincente Calderon outfit.

He’s not always been a guaranteed starter under Diego Simeone, however, and agent Ahmet Bulut confirmed last week that the 28 year-old intends to leave the Spanish capital outfit this summer, with ‘three teams…the best in English and European football’, allegedly courting in his services.

The clubs in question are believed to be Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, whilst Barcelona have also been mooted as potential suitors for the attacking midfielder, whose contract includes a £29million release clause.

And Turan’s agent has now added further fuel to speculation by claiming a decision will be made before the end of the week.

Talking to Turkish TV channel NTV Sport, Bulut is quoted by The Standard as saying; “Many things are being published about the transfer, but not everything that is said is true. We want to clarify that at this time there is a lot of pressure on the matter but we do not want to make a formal declaration about his destination before it has been signed.

“In the next four days Arda will decide the team which he will play for next season,” he added.
