According to reports from The Metro yesterday morning, Real Madrid are targeting Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci as a potential replacement for Sergio Ramos.
The 2010 World Cup winner’s future at the Bernabeu is shrouded in serious doubt following allegations from Barcelona presidential candidate Jordi Majo earlier this month; who claims he was recently offered Ramos as an ‘electoral asset’ for the club’s ballot on July 18th – as reported by Goal.com.
It’s believed to have been a ploy to secure the Spain international a better contract in Madrid but has now lead to two bids from Manchester United and interest from their local rivals Manchester City.
Real Madrid have valued the 29 year-old at a rather ridiculous £63million, but reports from The Metro suggest the club could be coming round to the idea of parting with Ramos this summer.
Sourcing TuttoSport, they claim Los Blancos are targeting Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, who impressed while facing them in the Champions League semi-final earlier this month.
He’s not the only potential Ramos replacement on their radar, however; according to reports from The Daily Mail last week, Rafa Benitez’ side are also considering a bid for Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny.
