Goalkeeper - Petr Cech

According to reports from The Daily Star this morning, Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will snub mooted suitors Liverpool in favour of a move to Arsenal this summer.

The Czech international is widely viewed as one of the greatest goalkeepers in Premier League history, with three (almost four) league titles, the 2012 Champions League title and 332 appearances under his belt.

But he’s found himself stuck behind the prodigious Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season, and is resultantly expected to move on in the coming transfer window.

Chelsea apparently want £10million for their former No.1, whose contract is set to expire at the end of next season, as This Is Futbol revealed earlier this month.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both known admirers, but The Daily Star now claim Cech will reject the Merseysiders to stay in London with the Emirates outfit.

Whether the Blues would be prepared to sell to a local and divisional rival remains to be seen. Reports earlier this month claimed the Gunners had been instructed ‘not to waste their time’ pursuing the 32 year-old by the Chelsea hierarchy – as revealed by This Is Futbol.
