According to reports from Manchester Evening News this morning, Liverpool and Manchester United target Dani Alves has denied rumours that he’s already chosen his next club.

As This Is Futbol informed you last month, both Premier League outfits are targeting the Brazil international on a bosman move this summer when his Barcelona contract comes to an end, but his agent claims they’re just two of seven top clubs currently courting his signature – as reported by The Daily Mail.

Another alternative scenario is a contract extension at the Nou Camp. Last week, as reported by us at TIF, the 31 year-old’s agent revealed Barcelona had begun negotiations regarding a new deal. Their transfer embargo means they can’t sign a replacement until 2016 – so they’re hoping to convince the two-time Champions League winner to stay until at least next January.

After his meeting with Barca representatives ended earlier this week, many assumed some agreement had been made. But the right-back has denied this, telling beIN Sport; “I am very happy at Barcelona and I have not signed with anyone.

“In life, you have to be thankful. Barca are a club that changed my life, made me realise all my dreams. I’ll get to the end of my contract with the same ambition as when I came here.

“If the club asks me to look for another alternative, then I’ll look at the other options. But for now, this is not the case. I stay focused on the end of the season because I’m still a competitor. A decision will be made at the end of the season,” he added.
