According to reports from the Metro this morning, Manchester United could complete two bosman deals by the end of the week.
The first Metro report claims the Red Devils are on the verge of agreeing £150k per-week terms with Barcelona’s Dani Alves, arguably the best right-back in world football over the last decade, winning two Champions Leagues with the Catalan side.
His Nou Camp contract is coming to an end and the Red Devils are in need of a No.2, with winger Antonio Valencia often forced to fill in for the lacking-in-fitness-and-form Rafael.
Liverpool and PSG are mooted as rival suitors, but the Metro claim the deal is so close to completion that it could be announced later this week.
Meanwhile, another Metro report alleges Louis van Gaal is also targeting countryman Nigel de Jong, formerly of Manchester City, as a low-budget solution to United’s lack of bite in midfield.
The 30 year-old AC Milan enforcer, whose San Siro contract expires this term, has Premier League experience and also served under the Old Trafford boss at last summer’s World Cup.
His services, according to the Metro, would cost a far more reasonable £80k per-week.
Don’t hope to see any of those in a man united shirt next season. Better keep Rafael and get a good CDM with great long passing skills.
I JUST PRAY THEY WILL NOT BE DUMPS. ENOUGH OF DISAPPOINTING STARS AT OLD TRAFFORD.
