According to reports from The Express this morning, Chelsea have agreed a five-year contract with Augsburg defender Abdul Rahman Baba.
The 21 year-old has just come to the end of a real breakthrough campaign at the SGL arena, claiming four assists in 31 appearances whilst averaging the second-most tackles per match (3.5) of any player in the Bundesliga.

The Ghana international has resultantly been linked with a host of top European clubs clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid in May, Arsenal and Chelsea in June, and Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma earlier this month.
Stamford Bridge has been earmarked as Abdul Rahman Baba’s likeliest next destination for some time, with the Premier League champions allegedly viewing him as the perfect replacement for Atletico Madrid-bound left-back Filipe Luis.
And according to The Express, citing reports from Italy, Chelsea have now agreed a five-year contract with the 5 foot 11 full-back, which will see him take home £27k per-week.
Augsburg chairman Jonas Hoffman has claimed the club won’t ‘even talk about an offer under €20million’, which converts to around £14million.
