Everton are in the midst of another tough Premier League season and are once again fighting to avoid being relegated.
With 21 games played, the Toffees have won four, drawn six and lost 11, leaving them in the relegation zone with 18 points.
Despite this, one player in Sean Dyche’s ranks that has been a shining light for the Merseyside club this season is Alex Iwobi.
Having played the full 90 minutes in all but one of Everton’s league games, this highlights how prominent he has been in the team, scoring one goal and supplying six assists along the way.
In addition to that, the midfielder tops the list at Goodison Park for the number of key passes (33) he’s made and the number of successful take-ons (18) he’s completed.
Should Dyche manage to keep Everton in the top flight, the Toffees boss should definitely look to strengthen his squad in the next summer transfer window to try and make sure they avoid being involved in another relegation battle.
One player that the club have been linked with recently that we feel would not only strengthen their attack but also give Dyche the chance to form a deadly duo alongside Iwobi is Udinese striker Beto, whose proposed move to Goodison Park was recently revealed to have been blocked by the Serie A outfit as they felt he would be better off staying in Italy while he recovers from injury.

This season has seen the 25-year-old score seven goals in 21 Serie A appearances, which is five more goals than Dominic Calvert-Lewin (1) and Neal Maupay (1) have managed to score between them in the Premier League this season.
In addition to that, the Portuguese centre-forward has the 10th-highest rate of expected goals (6) in Serie A, which is higher than the likes of Dusan Vlahovic (5.6), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (5.4) and Paulo Dybala (5).
Described as a “clinical” player by journalist Josh Bunting, we feel the stats suggest Beto could benefit from having a player like Iwobi behind him setting up goalscoring opportunities for him to put away.
Taking all of this into account, in the event that the Toffees avoid relegation, securing a deal for the Udinese star should definitely be one of their top priorities for the summer.
