Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up a potential transfer move for Bournemouth winger Jaidon Anthony this month.

After starting his career in Arsenal’s U18 ranks, the 23-year-old joined Bournemouth’s U18 side in 2016.

Since then, the attacker has gone on to make 73 senior appearances for the south coast club across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in the process.

With Anthony set to see his contract at Bournemouth expire in the summer, the Englishman has been linked with a move away from the club this month, with several sides having him on their radar.

According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, the Gunners are interested in signing Anthony this month as well as sealing a deal for Leandro Trossard.

The report also adds that the likes of Leicester City, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach have their eyes on the Cherries attacker.

This season has seen the winger score three goals in 18 appearances for Gary O’Neil’s side across all competitions.

In addition to that, Anthony, who thinks that Arsenal are an ‘unbelievable’ team, has seen nine of his 11 attempts at goal be on target, leaving him with the second-highest percentage for shots on target at Bournemouth (81.8%) as well as the second-highest rates of shots at goal (1.8) and shots on target per 90 minutes (1.47) at the club.

Former Bournemouth manager Scott Parker has also taken note of the winger’s attacking skills as he said this about him back in March.

He said: “Jaidon Anthony’s a player that goes under the radar massively, what he does for this team is nothing short of incredible at times. In possession, we see his qualities, his calmness, his silkiness when he makes good decisions but the stuff that goes unnoticed is his defensive side, what he brings to this team.”

With all of that in mind, if the north London club were able to land a deal to bring Anthony back to the Emirates, this would give Mikel Arteta a very capable extra attacking option to his squad.
