Rangers manager Michael Beale is reportedly interested in a deal for Fulham’s Joshua Onomah, according to Pete O’Rourke.

Beale returned to the club after a short stint at Queens Park Rangers to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and has his work cut out for him with the Gers nine points behind rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premier League.

A huge January transfer window is coming up, with stars Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent potentially leaving given that they are in the final few months of their contracts, and major reinforcements are required.

One target Beale reportedly has in mind is Onomah from Fulham, who he was also interested in when at QPR.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, O’Rourke claimed that the ex-Tottenham midfielder is on Beale’s radar as he looks to strengthen his squad.

“I believe he does like Josh Onomah from Fulham,” he stated.

“He was interested in possibly signing him when he was at QPR, so he’s a player that’s definitely on Beale’s radar.”

TIF Thoughts on Onomah and Rangers…

Onomah has played just 13 minutes of football in two substitute appearances for Fulham this season, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, it should be a fairly straightforward deal to complete if he wants the move.

A versatile player capable of playing as a central or attacking midfielder, Onomah’s best performances came in the Championship with eight goals and 12 assists in 99 appearances, but he has failed to score or assist in any of his 26 Premier League appearances.

The step-up to the top flight may have been too much for the 25-year-old, but if given a new chance in Scotland, he could prove to be a shrewd acquisition.
