Journalist Alasdair Gold has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski is a ‘funny guy’ after he recently joked with the media.
After the long pause of Premier League football for the World Cup, Spurs will be back in action before the end of the month, so they have been away trying to build up match fitness.
Indeed, Tottenham played a friendly match against Motherwell at Hotspur Way last week and claimed a 4-0 win thanks to goals from Kulusevski, Bryan Gil and a brace from Matt Doherty.
When speaking about the game on his YouTube channel, Gold explained that Doherty was full of praise for the Swedish winger, saying: “‘He’s a pleasure to play with and we’re glad to have him back.'”
Gold then explained that one journalist then asked Kulusevski: “‘Happy with that?'”
TIF Thoughts on Dejan Kulusevski and Spurs…
Regardless of what you might think about his sense of humour, it’s fair to say Kulusevski certainly has good timing on the pitch. Indeed, after missing six Premier League games with injury, he returned to claim two assists in his next two games before the World Cup break.
Despite having not been a Spurs player for all too long, he has been a very consistent performer, scoring six goals and picking up 13 assists in his first 32 games for the club.
With that in mind, it’s not hard to see why Doherty was full of praise for the Swedish winger, and if he can keep making all the journalists laugh with his off-field antics, perhaps the reviews will stay kind even if he had the occasional off-day.
