Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has dropped a big hint online that he may play a part in the club’s upcoming cup tie.
After Premier League teams were put on pause for the winter World Cup, domestic action is set to return for a number of top-flight clubs this week as they play in the Carabao Cup.
Indeed, the Magpies host Bournemouth in the fourth round of the competition this week, and it looks as though Guimaraes has declared himself fit and ready to be included in the matchday squad.
The Brazilian was in Qatar with his country during the break, so there may have been some doubt over just how ready he was to play for Newcastle again, but his latest tweet could be a sign he is available.
Alongside an image looking ahead to the match, he wrote: “Happy to be back with my team.”
Will Bruno Guimaraes sign a new contract at Newcastle this season?

TIF Thoughts on Bruno Guimaraes and Newcastle United…
Guimaraes last played for Brazil on 2nd December after making just two appearances in the World Cup group stage. The Toon ace sat on the bench for their final two games as they were knocked out by Croatia in the quarter-finals.
With that in mind, he shouldn’t be too worn out by his excursions in Qatar and should have had enough time off since his nation’s exit to allow him to rest up before returning to training with Newcastle.
No doubt, manager Eddie Howe will be delighted to have one of his key players back and fit enough to play. After all, his average WhoScored match rating in the league this term is 7.33 – only bettered by Kieran Trippier – so Guimaraes has proven himself to be a vital cog in the Magpies’ machine.
