Journalist Tony Scott can’t wait to see the back of Yerry Mina after the defender was again struck down by injury.

During Everton’s trip to Australia and their Sydney Super Cup clash with Celtic, the centre-back was forced off at half-time with a hamstring injury.

The 28-year-old was making his return to action having been out of action since the opening week of the season with an ankle problem

This would have been seen as an ideal time for the Colombian to work on regaining full fitness but instead he has endured another setback and Scott has had enough.

Speaking on the All Together Now podcast he said:

(14:17)”Now all of a sudden Yerry Mina’s injured again. Just forget about him. Write him off.

“Absolutely made of poppadoms, isn’t he? Absolutely just honest soon as his contract’s finished the better isn’t it for everyone.”

TIF Thoughts on Mina and Everton…

The 6 ft 4 colossus was brought to Merseyside in 2018 for £27.2m signing a five-year deal.

However, with the former Barcelona man out of contract in the summer it could be that the Blue bid farewell to one of their highest earners.

The £120k-per-week man has played just 70 minutes of Premier League football this season missing 15 games.

He has been forced to sit out on 55 matches since his move to the club suffering consistently for fitness and only in his late 20s, the 39-cap ace is likely to only endure further troubles and we can’t see Frank Lampard ordering the club to extend his stay at Goodison Park.
