Dominik Diamond, of the BBC, has heaped praise on Kyogo Furuhashi for his role played in Celtic’s first goal against Hearts.

The Scottish champions took advantage of title rivals Rangers dropping points in a 2-2 draw against Hibernian, with Furuhashi’s goal handing them a crucial lead. Considering the points dropped, this weekend, although early, could be looked back on as crucial.

So far this season, Celtic have been flawless, with victories over Aberdeen, Ross County, and Kilmarnock handing them the perfect start. And, today’s 2-0 win has only increased their fantastic start.

Having seen Celtic take the lead, Diamond took to Twitter to heap praise on those involved with the goal, saying:

TIF Thoughts on Celtic…

Kyogo had 89% passing accuracy, but was only able to have 16 touches in the game (as per SofaScore).

Celtic look a side in cruise control right now, with several threats all over the pitch, including Maeda and Furuhashi, who were involved in the goal against Hearts.

They now find themselves two points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership in what could be an early indication of what is to come in the title race.

Ange Postecoglou, meanwhile, will simply be hoping to see his side continue their ruthless streak and positive form for an extended period to crucially keep that gap in the title race over Rangers. Even so early into the season, however, we look likely to see the two giants go back and forth.
