Footballer Yannick Bolasie has reacted on social media with pure delight after Gabriel Jesus scored a stunning goal for Arsenal.

Playing in the Premier League this weekend, the Gunners hosted Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium in what turned out to be a thrilling encounter.

Jesus scored twice in the first half to give Mikel Arteta’s men a two-goal lead, only for William Saliba’s own goal to throw a momentary spanner in the works.

However, Granit Xhaka then restored that lead, before James Maddison pulled another one back for the Foxes, making it 3-2 for a short period before Gabriel Martinelli finally settled the game with Arsenal’s fourth.

Despite all the drama, one moment, in particular, seems to have stood out for Bolasie. Indeed, the footballer seemed to love Jesus’ first strike.

He sent out a Tweet with the chips and flames emojis in reference to the clever finish, while adding the caption: “Oi that goal from Jesus was dirty.”

TIF thoughts on Gabriel Jesus and Arsenal…

When looking at the goal, it’s not hard to see why Bolasie was so impressed, calling the finish ‘dirty’. The Arsenal striker picks up the ball in a tight area, with four Leicester players around him. With nowhere else to go, despite the awkward angle, he quickly chips the ball towards goal and it loops over Danny Ward into the back of the net.

Considering that was the Brazilian’s first competitive goal for the Gunners, it was a pretty fine way to get off the mark. Making his bow in front of the Emirates home crowd in the Premier League, Jesus also scored one more goal and set up the other two, rightfully picking up a stunning 8.9 rating on SofaScore.

Bolasie seemed to enjoy what he saw and it seems rather likely that Arsenal fans will feel the same way about their new number nine.
