Ben Jacobs has urged people to keep an eye on Arsenal target Yeremy Pino this transfer window.

Arsenal have already beefed out their attacking lineup this summer by bringing in Premier League proven striker Gabriel Jesus who boasts an impressive record of 90 goal involvements in 160 league appearances.

They certainly aren’t settling though having seen their name linked with moves for the likes of Lucas Paqueta and now also Villarrela’s Pino who enjoyed a pretty good campaign last time out managing seven goals and four assists.

Jacobs believes that Pino could be one to watch out for in the remaining few weeks of the transfer window.

Speaking on Wednesday’s edition of The Done Deal Show, he said: “From what I understand, this does actually genuinely have a little bit more substance to it. I made an enquiry 24 hours ago to find out from the player’s agent if there was any desire to move and got quite a coy response.

“A lot may just come down, a bit like [Benjamin] Sesko as well, to whether a young 19-year-old thinks it’s the right time to make a move to Arsenal with a big tag over him and how often is game time going to be provided.

Will Arsenal make anymore signings?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

“So that’s a factor, but unlike some of the other less-substance transfers that we’ve spoken about, the reason why I think Arsenal are a bit more confident in this is because they’re moving for the future, as per Marquinhos, but also, Villarreal are going to have to find income from somewhere. So I would classify this one as one to watch and it could well move quickly.”

TIF Thoughts on links to Pino…

Despite still being only 19, Pino managed to rack up 40 appearances across all competitions last season which is some feat in a Villarreal side that managed to finish seventh in La Liga and also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

As Jacobs alluded to, Pino would be a signing Arsenal could make with one eye on the future given his tender age, however, considering he’s already a regular in one of La Liga’s top teams, he would likely be able to come over and rack up some serious minutes in the Premier League.
