Tottenham Hotspur ace Davinson Sanchez has been slammed by reliable journalist Charlie Eccleshare for his display on Wednesday.

The north London side ran out 6-3 victors in Seoul against a K-League XI in what was a game filled with drama and controversy.

And it was apparent the Colombian international did not leave Eccleshare impressed with his performance, which saw him play over 70 minutes.

The centre-back played a big role in the first equaliser for the home side, with the Colombian failing to track the striker who eventually nodded the ball home.

And with his second-half display also failing to impress, Eccleshare took to Twitter to share his thoughts on what was a difficult return to action for Sanchez.

He said: “Anamo scores FK to make it 4-3 after a wretched Sanchez tackle gave it away.

“Sanchez wasn’t booked for it but should have been – on top of what looked like a yellow in 1st half. Add to that a possible pen giveaway, being out-jumped for 1st goal and deflecting 2nd past Lloris.”

TIF Thoughts on Eccleshare’s comments…

Sanchez enjoyed a strong end to the 2021/22 campaign under Antonio Conte as Cristian Romero missed the final few games through injury.

Does Sanchez need to be sold this summer?

However, it is apparent the game in South Korea saw the centre-back struggle to hit the ground running in their pre-season efforts with a number of errors throughout the game.

And with reports suggesting Conte would be open to allowing Sanchez to leave this summer if the right bid came in for him, this display may have come at a terrible time for the 26-year-old.
