Celtic fans will love to see pictures that were released today on Twitter but the club of star man Carl Starfelt is back in training ahead of their season opener against Aberdeen on the weekend.
The Hoops have enjoyed a great summer after bringing in the likes Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Daizen Maeda on permanent deals as well as Aaron Mooy and Benjamin Siegrist coming in on free deals.
However, what may excite fans, even more, is the return of their key man Starfelt, who picked up a hamstring injury during Sweden’s Nations League game against Slovenia in June. The defender was recently pictured in training ahead of their opening Scottish Premier League game against Aberdeen.

TIF Thoughts on Starfelt’s return…
The Swedish international made 49 appearances across all competitions for Celtic last season in their return to the top of the SPL. Starfelt impressed for Ange Postecoglou’s side last season as the side only averaged 0.54 goals conceded per game with him and they kept 56% of clean sheets in the games he featured in.
The defender also averaged an impressive 7.19 match rating in the Scottish Premier League according to Sofascore, as well as 7.00 in the UEFA Conference League, proving he won’t only be important to the domestic campaign, but their continental one as well.
Celtic will want to compete for the title again this season, as well as going far as possible in the Champions League and getting a player as important as Starfelt is only going to make that easier.
