Presenter Chris Cowlin has been left blown away by Davinson Sanchez after he proved to be ‘one of the best’ performers during Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season training.

Spurs are currently away in South Korea on tour ahead of the upcoming Premier League season. However, judging from reports, Antonio Conte has been running a ‘brutal’ regime in an attempt to get his players fit and ready.

While some players have seemingly struggled – with Harry Kane said to have been ‘feeling the pace’ – others seem to have stood out. Indeed, according to Cowlin, Sanchez didn’t stop running throughout and really impressed.

Alongside footage showing the defender leaving the pitch after a tough workout, the YouTuber wrote on Twitter: “A big shoutout to @daosanchez26 tonight – one of the best in training – with and without the ball, one of the players that didn’t stop running and one of the last players to leave the pitch!

“The Conte effect!”

TIF Thoughts on Davinson Sanchez and Spurs…

Sanchez only started 17 Premier League games last season, so he may feel as though now is the time to impress Conte and make sure he is a first-choice pick in the new campaign.

On top of that, another central defender in Clement Lenglet has just arrived on loan from Barcelona, so the Colombian now faces even more competition in the heart of defence.

Judging from Cowlin’s comments on social media, though, it certainly doesn’t look as if the 26-year-old has lost motivation. If anything, he seems more determined than ever to stake a claim for a place in the Tottenham team by impressing during the tour of South Korea.

However, there has also been talk of an exit to Italy, so the player will perhaps have one eye on that too as he looks to keep himself fit and ready for whatever the future holds.

Anyone watching that whole training video (ALL 2 and a 1/2 hours of it, cannot fail to be impressed with Sanchez.)
Fitness and assurance with the ball. He’s finally become the player we thought we were getting when he first arrived.
