BBC Sport contributor Dave Azzopardi has mooted a possible move to Wolves for Isco after the Spaniard recently changed his agent.

The Real Madrid man will see his contract expire this summer and will therefore soon be on the lookout for a new club, potentially away from La Liga.

No doubt with that in mind, the Spaniard recently changed his agent to become part of Jorge Mendes’ clientele with Gestifute. This same agency happens to have strong connections with Wolves, as they look after the likes of Ruben Neves, Pedro Neto, Jose Sa and many others.

While discussing players the Premier League club should look to sign this summer on the Talking Wolves podcast, Azzopardi brought up this ‘key’ point about Isco.

Should Wolves sign Isco?

Yes

No

No

He explained: “In my eyes, [he’s] still got a couple of years, at least, still at the top of the game.

Premier League moves, you don’t get them very often, and I think Isco now is probably at the stage of his career where he could possibly look towards the Premier League to push towards the end of his career.

He went on to say: “Now, the key thing with this one, is that he has recently signed with Gestifute, which is Jorge Mendes’ agency, of course – Jorge Mendes has got extremely close ties with Wolves.”

TIF Thoughts on Isco and Wolves…

Isco has been in and out of the Real Madrid side this year, playing just 14 times in the league, while failing to make a single appearance in the Champions League.

Despite that, it’s clear from his comments that Azzopardi still feels as though the playmaker could contribute to Wolves if he was to join. In fairness, the Spaniard has won numerous domestic, European and international trophies over the span of his career.

Do you remember who Wolves signed Ivan Cavaleiro from?

Normally, such a transfer might seem a little far-fetched but with that obvious connection between Mendes, GestiFute, Wolves and now Isco, this deal could perhaps be something for supporters to keep an eye on.
